8 Things to look for in a wedding Venue | Logan Utah Wedding Photographer

Picking a wedding venue is a big decision! A lot goes into it! I’m going to break it down into seven steps to help you make sure you pick the perfect venue!

Step 1- Location

Is the venue in the location you want? Is there places close to accommodate your guests?

Step 2- Style of Venue

Does it match what you are wanting your wedding to look like? For instance, if you are having a rustic themed wedding would you choose a barn looking venue or a classic venue? Will the venue be able to bring your vision to life?

Step 3- Size of venue

Make sure it is big enough to accommodate all of your guests, along with enough parking space

Step 4- Ceremony and Reception

If you are doing both in the same place you should be fine, but if you have the ceremony at one place and the reception at the other. Make sure they are close enough that you won’t be late. (account for traffic)

Step 5- Budget

Is the venue within your budget? Check to see if they offer payment plans as well.

Step 6- Vendor Policy

Some venues don’t allow outside vendors (such as catering.) Make sure you can have your own caterers. Also see if the venue offers additional services.

Step 7- What is included?

Always check to see what is included? Chairs, tables, linens… Check to see if there are any hidden fees.

Step 8- Lighting

I believe this is the most important! Make sure there is plenty of light! The more natural light the better!! This will help get the best possible images!!
