Wedding Photographer UT | Shaylee + Chett Engagements
Wedding Photographer UT
As a wedding photographer ut. I love getting to capture couples love stories! We have been able to work with Shaylee several times in the past. I was so excited when she asked me to photograph her wedding. She wanted her engagements in a studio and I think they turned out pretty great!!
How did you meet
“Over the last year I was really focusing on myself and not super into dating or trying to make any commitments. I was doing competitions in the Miss America Organization to earn scholarship money to finish my degree in Communications. One of the requirements for being crowned as a queen is that you are not engaged or to be married during your year of service. I was perfectly okay with this requirement.
While competing over the year I met tons of amazing women and become close friends with many of them. During a specific competition “Weber County” I met this girl named Breanin. She was so sweet and was trying to set us all up with her guy friends. Obviously I was not interested at first because she is much younger than me and I assumed many of her “guy” friends were around her age.
I found out her guy friend named Chett was around my age and was kind of everything I was looking for. Had a stable career, religious, the whole package. He came to the Weber County competition and brought the most gorgeous flowers to ask me out. We started causally talking and eventually went on a date. He continued to support me in my competitions and always brought me flowers. I won scholarship money but not a crown so I didn’t have to commit to any year of service or restraining from getting engaged or married. I guess the rest is self explanatory. At the Sweeps competition he claimed he was going to marry me to his mother despite not even going on a first date. I guess it was love at first touch for him.”
How did he Propose
“First off, he designed my ring! He did ask me some minor details about my preferences and my size, so kinda knew it was coming. He took me out to dinner. Then to the lights at Temple Square where he asked someone to take our picture. Little did I know it was his family I had never met and they recorded our engagement. We were in front of one of the nativity sets with the safari animals. This circus music started playing and honestly it was the sweetest thing.”
