UT State Capitol Formals

Holly and Alex wanted their formal session at the UT State Capitol. I always love shooting here. It’s a fan favorite. You can shoot inside of the capitol building and there is a fountain on the north side of the building. You can even have your wedding their!

How they met

“Alex and I met in the MTC before we went out on our missions, and then reconnected after we got home and after a long time of him being persistent we started dating!!”

How he proposed

“He proposed by pineview (where we would go on dates all the time when we started dating). He tricked me into thinking that we were going to a bonfire with my friends, and ended up having a cute little set up with rose pedals, pictures and lanterns. And then he popped the question!!”

Utah State Capitol

For over a century, the State Capitol has been one of Utah’s most prominent landmarks. Designed by local architect Richard K. A. Kletting, the Capitol has been home to state government since its opening in 1916.

From 2004 to 2008, the Ut State Capitol underwent one of the largest historical preservation projects in the United States. In addition to safe-guarding the building against the risk of an earthquake, the project repaired and restored the original beauty and artwork of the Capitol. Each year, thousands of people visit the Capitol to witness its modern magnificence and historic significance.
