How they met

Megan and Hunter met in middle school and had mutual friends through middle and high school. “Our friend group started getting closer senior year in high school so we became really good friends. Halfway through our senior year of high school, we realized we liked each other and started going on dates and going to dances together.

We originally thought we were just “hanging out” because we were going to be heading to college soon, but finally, we admitted we were a couple a few months into our relationship.”

How he proposed

“We had made plans to go out to dinner for my birthday over our Thanksgiving break, while we were both in town from college. I went to his house early to hang out. He told me he had surprised me with shopping and a pedicure at Gardner Village. His mom, who was at home when we were leaving, asked if she could come with us so she could do Christmas shopping.

I thought nothing of it but little did I know she was coming to take pictures of us. When we got to Gardner Village, he grabbed a present and said we could open my gift outside while we waited for our pedicure appointment.

We went over by the bridge and the water and I open my birthday present. It was a printed scrapbook of our pictures over the years. I flipped through the book and when I got to the last page it was a picture of him at Shane Co. and it said “Marry me?” He then got down on one knee and popped the question.”
